The room was nicely furnished and brand new with a very comfy bed, and the location was closer to the city centre, making it a great place to stay.

Had a fantastic stay for the price and would definitely go again. Huge and fairly clean hotel, location was marvellous and incredible so close to centre as well as the gardens. I appreciated the room with double beds, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were both kind and amazing.

Clean hotel in quiet surroundings. More of a conference venue than 'luxury hotel', but nothing wrong with that if that's what you're after.
Good value for money. Clean, comfortable bed. Good shower/bathroom. Absolutely fit for my purpose.
In my (very small) room: no wardrobe/hanging space. No air con, room hot (as all hotels are) and since on ground floor it was tricky to leave the window open (eventually I found a way to lock it in a slightly open position). Size of room would have made it difficult for two people to move about.

GREAT BREAKFAST, comfortable bed, good staff
The room's smaller than expected, but it's fine for a couple of nights. The area is quiet, university, in the center by bus 20 minutes, but parking on the territory is free. There's no air conditioning in the room, keep in mind.

The bed was very comfortable. Everything is renovated.
Unfortunately there was a carpet in the room. I think the room is very small.

We have stayed at the Chancellors a number of times, all our family had about 10/12 rooms in March 2010. we think that the 2 managers are perfect gentlemen ant the hotel is wonderful, relaxing and excellent value for money. We will be back!!
This is not a complaint, but the lad doing the lounge service on Sunday evening did not seemto know much about his job??

My first stay here, good parking tranquil setting, quiet overnight, building work taking place adjacent to hotel. Pleasant responsive staff, my room very small I would term it a box room not entirely reflected in the price. Nice and clean ever where, good food at breakfast cost £9 for breakfast so should be. Downside the room for me extremely hot even with window open in January with no visible means of controlling it other than window, blackout curtains good. Saw a mouse run across floor in reception, I suspect lots of hotels have them it's just we don't normally see them. Tea & coffee in room rather spartan ie not enough. Expensive overall for what you get but OK. Bar restraint area very pleasant.. WiFi seems good but I don't use it and so unimportant to me. TV works but didn't use it much.
Location, spacious, clean good food pleasant staff
A little expensive, room extremely small and very hot.
